Comprehensive sports physicals with electrocardiogram testing (EKG) better screens for diagnosis that can lead to sport-related sudden death incidences. Traditionally, doctors have relied on auscultation listening for heart murmurs to detect potential problems. Fairfax County public schools partner with the Fairfax County Health Department to monitor the progression of the H1N1 swine flu and recommends the vaccine as the best way to protect against the influeza illness.
